Hi, Actually the seminar is about OpenSolaris not Linux
And it’s on 7th of February. You don’t have to register, it’s totally free and you’re very welcome to the event !

I have got certification voucher but when I tried to register it with prometric, it shows the amount to be paid as 281 GBP. But I supposed that to take Sun certification exam is free for KTH students. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Dear Rizwan,
Please go forward to the next step where all test centers are listed for Sweden. Then you should contact a suitable test center. The voucher states the voucher number to enter. Sun has already paid for these vouchers so there shouldn’t be any expense for the students. But unfortunately some centers add their own local administration fee, so you should check the other test centers too.

I am KTH student and I am Iranian.
I heard Iranian students don’t have permission to do the exams because of Iran sanctions. I was wondering is it really true or is it just a rumor?

Since Sun Microsystems is an American company, they have sanctions on Iran and unfortunately there’s nothing we can do about it. We have tried to contact the managers about the Iranian students at KTH but they also have nothing to do about it. I am sorry.
